Privacy Policy

How Fiberdine Co., Ltd. handles personal information.

Fiberdine Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) recognizes the appropriate handling of personal information belonging to customers, business partners and other related parties as an important responsibility. The Company complies with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations and protects personal information in accordance with the following policy.

Article 1 (Personal Information)

“Personal information” in this policy means personal information as defined by Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

Article 2 (Collection)

The Company clearly identifies the purpose of use and collects personal information by lawful and fair means within the scope necessary for its business.

Article 3 (Purposes of Use)

The Company uses collected personal information for the following purposes:

  • Responding to inquiries concerning products, specifications, technical documents and sales agents
  • Managing quotations, contracts, orders, shipping, invoicing, payments and other transactions
  • Communications, confirmations and records required for business with customers and business partners
  • Operating and maintaining the website, preventing misuse and improving usability
  • Complying with laws, responding to disputes and protecting the Company’s rights and legitimate interests
  • Activities incidental to the purposes above

Article 4 (Changes to Purposes of Use)

The Company may change a purpose of use within a scope reasonably related to the original purpose. Any change will be announced on the Company website or by another appropriate method.

Article 5 (Provision to Third Parties)

The Company will not provide personal data to a third party without the individual’s prior consent, except where permitted by applicable law, including where required by law; where necessary to protect life, body or property and consent is difficult to obtain; where especially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and consent is difficult to obtain; or where cooperation with a national or local public authority is required and obtaining consent could impede execution of its statutory duties.

If an inquiry must be referred to a sales agent or another party, the Company will obtain prior consent and provide only the information necessary for that referral.

Article 6 (Outsourcing)

The Company may outsource the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the stated purposes of use. It appropriately selects and supervises contractors through agreements and other measures.

Article 7 (Security Measures)

To prevent leakage, loss or damage, the Company takes necessary and appropriate measures, including defining responsibilities and handling scope, informing personnel, restricting access, preventing unauthorized access, and appropriately managing documents and equipment. The Company appoints a person responsible for personal-information protection.

Article 8 (Disclosure, Correction and Suspension of Use)

When an individual requests notification of purpose, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure or suspension of third-party provision concerning personal data held by the Company, the Company verifies the requester’s identity and responds appropriately in accordance with applicable law. Article 9 (Cookies and Similar Technologies)

The Company website may use cookies, access logs and similar information for operation, security and usage analysis. Such information generally does not identify a specific individual by itself; if it can readily be matched with other information, it will be handled appropriately as personal information.

Article 10 (Compliance and Continuous Improvement)

The Company complies with laws, government guidelines and other rules governing personal information and continuously reviews and improves its personal-information protection practices.

Article 11 (Changes to This Policy)

The Company may change this policy in response to amendments to law or changes in its business. The revised policy applies when posted on the Company website.
